EN8 – BRIGHT BAR Grade Introduction:
EN8 is unalloyed medium carbon Steel (BS 970 080m40) has high strength levels compared to normal bright Mild Steel, due to thermo mechanical rolling. EN8 is suitable for all round engineering purposes that may require a Steel of greater strength.
Bright Bars offered to find application in areas like Machined Components, Dairy Equipment, Pump Shafts, Valves, Hinges, Pins, Surgical and Medical Parts and other end usages. These EN8 Bright Round Bars can be offered in different finishes, sizes and specification. The solutions offered by this bars include MS Bright Rounds Bars, MS Bright Flat Bars, MS Bright Square Bars, EN8 Bright Round Bars, EN8 Bright Square Bars, EN8 Bright Flat Bars, EN8 Bright Hexagonal Bars etc.
We offer a wide range of size and material grade of round bars of mild steel, alloy steel and EN series. Our range of EN8 Bright Round Bars finds in many industries such as railways, construction, automotive etc.

EN8 – BRIGHT BAR Heat treatment:
EN8 or 080m40 can be tempered at a heat of between 550°C to 660°C (1022°F-1220°F), heating for about 1 hour for every inch of thickness, then cool in oil or water.
Quenching in oil or water after heating to this temperature will harden the steel.
